I haven’t noticed any other team having a signature piece. So, people, how long has that piece been used with Buffalo and why does ESPN do it?

Below is the list, omitting divisional games. An abbreviation like “AFCN” means “some AFC North team, determined by the previous year’s finishes”. Home games are before the “|”, away games are after it.

  • 2006: HOU, IND, CHI, DET, AFCW | JAX, TEN, GB, MIN, AFCN
  • 2007: CLE, PIT, PHI, WAS, AFCW | BAL, CIN, DAL, NYG, AFCS
  • 2008: DEN, KC, ARI, STL, AFCN | OAK, SD, SF, SEA, AFCS
  • 2009: JAX, TEN, ATL, CAR, AFCN | HOU, IND, NO, TB, AFCW
