And Vinatieri gets replaced by…
Martin Grammatica????
And Tebucky “How many of my own guys can I knock off the tackle” Jones?
I might have to start seriously wondering about Bill and Scott after this.

What’s with guys like you that keep crying about The Pat’s in March/April ?? We’ve lost Bledsoe, Law, Woody, Milloy and others each year and yet we won three superbowls in four years anyway. Big deal we lose a great kicker, you think maybe we should win the next superbowl by more than three points for a change? We’ve got many draft picks and lots of cash to spend, a great stadium, a dedicated shrewd owner, and possibly the best quarterback and best coach in the game. Obviously you were not around when The Boston Patriots were a laughing stock of the league were you? I’ve sat through games in Fenway Park and several other sorry sites before they built the worst stadium in the league which was named after a real crappy beer by the way. Instead of whining you should sit back and enjoy arguably the best franchise in the best sport. BB will have the boys prepped for another title run and they’ll be new names and future heroes to boot. So chill out !!!

How am I gonna take advice from a guy such as yourself who thinks it’s the boston patriots.

Hey RJ,
If you read what I wrote you would see that I was speaking of past times and places. They WERE The Boston Patriots all the way up to the time that they moved to Foxboro. As I said to the first guy, he probably wasn’t around then. It’s plain to see now that neither were you.

I’ve put in plenty of time at Shaefer/Sullivan/Foxboro stadium (including being present for the 3-0 Snowplow Game, for the division-clinching win in 1978, etc.), and have followed the Pats through thick and thin since 1976 (when I was 8 ), including the horrendous Kiam-MacPherson years.

I have been a Pats fan since 1967 and I too remember the “ole Days” in some pretty crappy stadiums. We are the best run sports organization in North america and these “hand wringers” only whine about the losses of expendable players. We will go 14-2 and win our fourth Lombardi this season as long as Brady stays healthy. We WILL lose Seymour this year or next because he WILL WANT too much money. THAT is the way it is and still the Pats will move on to further success.

Bradley,
I’d say your just about right on…..I’m curious about where you think the two losses will come from as I think we’ll get Indy back this year. I’m worried about coming up flat against a team we should crush right before a more pivitol game. Either way I’m thinking we’ll have another great year…….14-2 I’m with you….ditto on Seymour.

Ken,
Most likely the 2 loses will be divisional loses to the Miami Dolphins, who will also be 14-2 (look at their schedual), and will, as a result, win the AFC East. Sabin (BB clone but with personality) had them on a roll at the end of last season, and at this point, they are already the most improved team in the AFC (according to the “professor” John Claton ESPN). Already this off season they picked up 3 former first round picks (Culpeper, Allen, Shelton) and have offers on the table to sign 2 more (Arrington, Harrington) first rounders. As if that weren’t bad enough, last year, none of their assistant coaches had any NFL experience (except O-line), now they have 2 former NFL head coaches helping Satan…err Sabin. Compare that with what has happened to the Pats this off season. Just being realistic, there is a formidable force gathering in the AFC East, but it’s not in Foxboro. To quote BB; “Nick (Sabin) is an excellent coach, doing an inpressive job… unfortunatly, he’s in our division.”

JC,
It’s about time Miami rounds into shape. I compare their “Wontstart “years to our Carroll years. They can definately give us a loss but I do like the fact that were not playing there when its wiltingly hot. I don’t however see them at 14-2. They’ve got their opener at PIT which varies greatly from their usual cupcake home opener. They still have to play in Buf and NY which doesn’t always bode well and of course there is us. Also, they don’t expect to see Culpepper till week 4 or later. They’re definately better but then teams won’t take them so lightly either. I’d say 10-6 or 11-5 will be more like it but who knows, thats why they play the games.
